Where the river meets the moment.

One secluded riverfront setting. Every moment of your wedding day.

The Boardwalk is a family-owned venue on the St. Joseph River in West Michigan. Right where elegance and nature meet. Thoughtfully developed by Matt and Kathryn, a husband-and-wife duo who found something worth sharing in these five wooded acres and spent years building it into something extraordinary.

Step inside, slow down, and experience it for yourself.

One property.
Every moment.

From the riverfront ceremony meadow to the indoor banquet hall, every space at The Boardwalk is connected and taken care of. Your guests will spend the whole day discovering something new.

Created to embody the heart of West Michigan.

Matt and Kathryn’s inspiration for creating The Boardwalk was, in a way, a coming home story. They got married along the northern shores of Lake Michigan, and spent several years traveling the world. After living on the West Coast and experiencing many other parts of this country, they realized nothing is better than a summer in West Michigan.

In 2020, they found this stretch of the St. Joseph River and saw exactly what it could become. After years of construction, renovation, and hands-on landscaping, The Boardwalk opened in July of 2022. They run it themselves, and it shows in the best way.

The man is taller, wearing a cap, a zip-up jacket, and has a backpack. There are people seated at tables in the background, and hanging lanterns among trees.

Priced to celebrate
